Knowledge is confidence. Training a horse and learning with your horse are two different obstacles that Lone Wolf Ranch excels in helping you achieve. In a fun environment you learn the mechanics and importance of every move you make on your horse. Understanding your horse and how to maintain and advance your performance will make you and your horse the perfect team. When you engage in a coaching plan with Lone Wolf Ranch, you can expect a comprehensive and personalized training experience tailored to your goals in reining, ranch riding (including trail), boxing, cutting, and general cowhorse skills. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  1. Initial Assessment: We begin with an evaluation of your current skill level and objectives to customize the program to your specific needs.

  2. Personalized Instruction: Shane and Deb provide individualized guidance, ensuring you receive focused attention and instruction.

  3. Hands-On Experience: You'll work directly with live cattle, gaining practical, real-world skills.

  4. State-of-the-Art Facility: Lessons take place in one of our 4 arenas.

  5. Progressive Learning: Each lesson builds on the previous one, ensuring continuous improvement and development of your riding and cowhorse handling skills.

  6. Safety and Support: Safety is our top priority. We provide a supportive environment where you can learn confidently and comfortably.

  7. Feedback and Goals: After each session, you'll receive detailed feedback and guidance on how to continue improving, with clear objectives set for your next lesson.

Our coaching programs are designed to help you excel in reining, ranch riding, trail, boxing, cutting, and general cowhorse disciplines, advancing your skills in competitive western disciplines.

Equine Dentistry

Shane Byerly has been an equine dentist since 2011. "You can have the best nutrition and training program, but if there is a problem with the mouth, that can all be ruined. I fell in love with dentistry as both a trainer and nutritionist. It is a preventative practice that keeps horses healthy and happy. I recommend your horse be checked annually."

Nutritional programming

"Early on in my career I began working as an equine supplement salesman. For that job and other supplement positions after, I spent a great deal in equine nutrition classes. Over the years I have stuck with a fool proof nutrition program for not only my horses but for my client's horses. Pictured left is a 3 year old gelding before and after spending 30 days in our nutrition and training program. We gave him what he needed to grow, build muscle and maintain weight. Our feed is locally processed for us and we feed free choice alfalfa."
